What is Powdercoating?

Well it's not painting - it produces a softer more appealing finish than painting. This is because the process involves gently blasting off the existing coating back to the bare metal. Then the item is hand sprayed with polyester powder, baked on to give an attractive durable finish.

BBS Edinburgh is 15 years old with its roots in the automotive markets. More recently owner Allan Morrison has realised the potential for the powdercoating process for homes, interior designers and gardens.
